Personal Data Administrator

The Personal Data Administrator is BLSK Kozlowski i Wspólnicy spółka komandytowa („BLSK”) with its registered office in Warsaw (00-412) at Leona Kruczkowskiego 6A/41. Personal data collected by BLSK is processed in accordance with the principles set forth in the regulations on personal data protection, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free flow of such data (“RODO”), which repealed Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Polish regulations issued in connection with RODO, including the Act of May 10, 2018 on personal data protection. BLSK keeps personal data confidential and secure against unauthorized access under the terms of the aforementioned legal acts.

Scope and purposes of personal data processing

As part of its activities, BLSK collects and processes personal data:
(a) for the purposes arising from the legitimate interests pursued by BLSK as a data controller: for the purpose of providing services to clients, marketing BLSK’s services, including for the purpose of providing information about events organized by BLSK or in which BLSK participates, and about BLSK’s activities, as well as for analytical, statistical purposes and for the purpose of ensuring ICT security related to the blsklegal.com website (legal basis Article 6(1)(f) RODO);
(b) for the purpose of performing BLSK’s contracts with clients, including organizing training courses, for the purpose of cooperating with suppliers and other entities cooperating with BLSK (legal basis Article 6(1)(b) RODO);
(c) in order to recruit individuals interested in working or cooperating with BLSK (legal basis, respectively, Article 6(1)(c) and Article 6(1)(a) of the RODO).
We also process personal data to fulfil BLSK’s legal obligations under RODO Article 6(1)(c).

Your rights

We process your personal data on a voluntary basis; however, depending on the circumstances, a refusal to provide your data or a request for deletion may prevent us from, for example, contacting you, providing you with information about BLSK events and activities, or performing a service. The processing of personal data in the provision of legal assistance services is regulated in the contracts concluded with clients or in the general terms and conditions for the provision of legal services. Sending commercial information electronically, e.g. by e-mail, is subject to your prior consent, including that given by subscribing to a newsletter or by submitting an instruction to receive certain information, including thematic legal alerts. In accordance with the principles set forth in the data protection laws and to the extent provided therein, you have the right to access your personal data, the right to rectify, erase or restrict processing, and the right to data portability. Some of these rights might not apply to data processing in the provision of legal assistance. If you do not want BLSK to process your personal data for marketing purposes, you may object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such purposes. If you have given your consent to the processing of your personal data, you may withdraw it at any time; however, the withdrawal of consent will not affect the processing that took place before the withdrawal.

Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint related to BLSK’s processing of your personal data to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.

Processing period

Personal data will be processed, respectively, until all relevant legitimate interests pursued by BLSK as a data controller related to the processing of certain data, are realized, until the expiry of the statute of limitations related to the given personal data processing agreement, or related to the statute of limitations of obligations under the law, until you object to the processing for marketing purposes. We may send newsletters and other similar information subject to no objection from you in this regard.

Transfer of personal data to other entities

Recipients of your personal data may be, in particular, entities directly or indirectly related to BLSK, especially in an organizational or personal way, which would be based in one of the Member States of the European Union, as well as external service providers (e.g. entities providing IT services, including cloud computing services, entities providing call centre services and marketing and promotional activities, other entities processing data on behalf of BLSK on the basis of an agreement on entrustment of personal data processing), accountants, auditors and auditors, lawyers, administrative bodies, state services and courts.
Your personal data is processed at BLSK’s headquarters. Personal data is not transferred to countries outside the European Union. If personal data is transferred to third countries outside the EU, BLSK will use appropriate instruments to ensure the security of your personal data.
BLSK, in connection with its cooperation with its suppliers and other law firms, may entrust the processing of your personal data to the above-mentioned entities. However, in each case, these entities will be obliged to maintain the confidentiality of your personal data and to process it in accordance with data protection regulations and any corresponding BLSK instructions.

No profiling

Your personal data is not subject to profiling as one of the forms of automated processing of personal data.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Any changes we make to the Privacy Policy in the future will be published on blsklegal.com, will not be retroactive, and will become effective upon your acceptance of the modified Privacy Policy, of which you will be notified via a pop-up window. Whenever possible, we kindly ask you to check our website regularly for updates to our Privacy Policy.
