We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Tax Litigation practice, specialising in tax and administrative-court disputes. It is headed by Aleksandra Rutkowska, Partner and Head of Tax Litigation, a legal counsel (radca prawny) with over 20 years’ experience representing clients in tax audits and in proceedings before the authorities of the National Revenue Administration (KAS) and the administrative courts. Aleksandra has appeared many times before the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Constitutional Tribunal. She is an expert in tax risk and in the liability of management board members for tax obligations, and her expertise has been recognised, among others, in the ITR World Tax 2025 ranking (Highly Regarded – Tax Controversy).
The practice is co-led by Aleksander Brzozowski, Counsel and tax adviser with over 10 years’ experience gained at international law firms. Aleksander has successfully handled many landmark cases, including contributing to a change in an unfavourable line of case law on excise duty in the automotive sector. He was recognised in the ITR World Tax 2025 ranking with the title Rising Star – Tax Controversy.
