BLSK Legal has launched a new practice offering services in obtaining grants and incentives, including preferential loans for entrepreneurs, while advocate Dr Michał Turczyk — until now a partner in the Warsaw office of the Dentons law firm — has joined BLSK’s partners. Together with Mr Turczyk, six people joined BLSK, including advocate Grzegorz Kukowka (who previously cooperated with the National Centre for Research and Development and was then counsel at Dentons) as Managing Counsel and commercial proxy (prokurent), and advocate Konrad Pęski (previously Senior Associate at Dentons) as Counsel and commercial proxy. Łukasz Figacz, Aleksandra Jurga-Więckowska, Konrad Siezieniewski and Weronika Kogut also joined BLSK Legal as part of the same team.
For 22 years, Dr Michał Turczyk has advised on State aid, competition law, and the acquisition and settlement of grants and tax reliefs, particularly EU funds. He built and developed grant practices at Dentons, Deloitte, EY and Accreo/Crido. In recent years he created a hybrid team bringing together lawyers, financial analysts and scientists, which was recognised in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Europe ranking as one of the most innovative legal services in Europe.
The launch of the new practice significantly broadens the range of services provided by BLSK Legal, which until now had focused on commercial law, litigation advisory, pharmaceutical, food and ESG matters, as well as telecommunications, media and new technologies. Welcome aboard!
